BIO

Red & the Rebels was formed by lead vocalist and songwriter Deidre Rodriguez, drummer and producer Drew White, lead guitarist Larry Guggenheim, and bassist and composer Ralph Manak. The band was formed in Austin, Texas in 2019. Rodriguez is the native Texan of the band. Manak is a veteran of the San Francisco Bay area music scene. White and Guggenheim are veteran musicians from the band Archer and were recently inducted into the Maryland Entertainment Hall of Fame for their efforts throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond.

Red & the Rebels' sound can be described as rock, with hints of Americana and atmospheric textures woven into their brand. With their strong songwriting and unique sound, they introduced a breath of fresh air with their self-titled debut release in 2021. The band has had the opportunity to perform at several well-known Austin venues to include Vincent's on the Lake, Anderson Mill Pub, Giddy Ups, as well as Come and Take it Live.

The band is currently back in the studio writing their follow-up effort which is slated for release in 2023. The band has released three singles ahead of the full-length effort: Pisces Moon, Texas Ruins, and Heart of Darkness.

Having already been featured on local radio stations such as KWVH and KLBJ-FM, Red & the Rebels plan to continue creating a buzz on the Texas music scene by introducing their own brand of music in an era where change has been in the air for some time.
